Panimávida is a town in Chile. It is located in the commune of Colbún. This town is part of the Linares Province in the Maule Region. The name Panimávida comes from the Mapudungun language. It means "hill of pumas".
Panimávida is famous in Chile. It is known for having some of the country's oldest hot springs. These are places where warm water comes naturally from the ground. It also has resort spas. These are places where people go to relax and feel better. In 2002, about 1,473 people lived in Panimávida. There were 737 males and 736 females.
Town History
Panimávida was once an important stop for trains. From 1913 to 1954, it had a train station. This station was part of a special railway line. It was a narrow gauge line. This train line connected Panimávida to the towns of Linares and Colbún.
