The city covers a total area of about 1.1 square miles (2.83 square kilometers). Most of this area is land. Only a tiny part, about 0.90%, is water.
History
The land that became Panorama Village was bought in 1964 by a company called Bamwood Development. They built a golf course and then homes around it.
In 1969, the people living there formed a group called a civic association. This group bought the Panorama Golf Club. A few years later, in 1972, the area officially became a city.
