Papis Loveday was born in Dakar, Senegal. His mother worked as a diplomat. His father was a medical doctor. He grew up with many brothers and sisters. Papis went to a private high school in Dakar.
As a teenager, he was a talented athlete. He was especially good at the 400 metre sprint. He received a special sports scholarship. This allowed him to move to Paris. There, he studied computer science. A sports photographer discovered Papis. This happened while he was getting ready for an athletics world cup.
Modelling Career
Papis Loveday started his modelling career in 2003. He signed a contract with an agency in Milan. Soon after, United Colors of Benetton chose him. He starred in their worldwide advertising campaign. Famous photographer Oliviero Toscani took the pictures.
