Francisco Javier Fernández Peláez (born on March 6, 1977) is a retired Spanish race walker. He is often known by his nickname, Paquillo Fernández. He was born in Guadix, a town in the Province of Granada, Andalusia. Paquillo was a top athlete, especially in the 20 km race walk event.
On July 27, 2008, he achieved a big milestone. He set a new 10-km race walk world record. This happened at the Spanish Championships. His amazing time was 37 minutes and 53.09 seconds.
