Paredes de Nava is a cool town in the Palencia province of Castile and León, Spain. It's famous for being the birthplace of Pedro Berruguete, a super important painter from the Renaissance period. You can even see some of his paintings in the local altarpiece of the Santa Eulalia church there! Another neat place to visit is the Church of St. Martin, which was built way back in the 1400s.

Santa Eulalia's Church: A Historic Treasure
The Church of Santa Eulalia is a very old and important building. It was built over many years, from the 1100s to the 1500s. In 1962, it was named a National Monument, which means it's a protected historical site.
On September 13, 1964, something special happened here. The first church museum of sacred art in Spain was opened! Today, the church is used for two main things: religious services and showing off amazing sacred art.
Church of San Martín: History and Tourism
The Church of San Martín was first built in the 1400s. It got a big makeover in the 1600s. Today, this church is more than just a place of worship. It's home to the Interpretation Center of Tierra de Campos. This center helps visitors learn all about the Tierra de Campos region. You can also find the Paredes de Nava tourism office here.
Many interesting and talented people were born in Paredes de Nava:
- Jorge Manrique (1440 – 1479): A famous poet and writer. He wrote a well-known poem called "Coplas a la muerte de su padre" (Verses on the Death of His Father).

- Alonso Berruguete (1488 – 1561): Pedro's son, who also became a famous painter, sculptor, and architect.
- Felipe Berrojo (1628 – 1694): An architect, sculptor, and plasterer.
- Gregoria Matorras (1738 – 1813): She was the mother of José de San Martín, a very important military leader in South America.
- Antonio Vallejo-Nájera (1889 – 1960): A psychiatrist and physician.
- Tomás Teresa León (1924 – 1962): A priest and official writer for Paredes de Nava.
