Park is known as a ghost town in Whatcom County, Washington. A ghost town is a place where people used to live and work, but now almost no one lives there anymore. Park was once a small community.
The Story of Park
Park got its name from an early settler named Charles Park. He was one of the first people to live in this area.
A Busy Post Office
A post office was opened in Park in 1884. This means that people living in Park could send and receive mail right in their own community. The post office was an important part of daily life for the people there. It helped them stay connected with others.
However, the post office did not stay open forever. It stopped working in 1925. After this, fewer and fewer people lived in Park. Eventually, it became the ghost town we know today.
