Party Quiz Mega Q is a fun quiz video game made by Sega. It came out in Japan in 1993 for the Mega Drive. In this game, you get to be a contestant on a TV quiz show! You answer questions and try to earn points.
Up to five players can join in, making it a great game for friends and family. Later, in 2007, the game was also released for the Nintendo Wii on its Virtual Console. The music from the game was even released on an album in 2014!
How to Play
Party Quiz Mega Q feels just like a real TV quiz show. Five contestants compete against each other. You can play by yourself or with up to four friends using a special adapter.
In each round, you answer questions. If you get a question right, you earn points. But if you get it wrong, you lose points! There are different types of quiz rounds to keep things exciting.
For example, in the Bet Quiz, you place a bet before you see the question. In the Genre Selection Quiz, you pick a topic, and then a question from that topic appears. The more times a topic is chosen, the more points you can win!
The game even has "advert breaks" just like a real TV show. During these breaks, you might see advertisements for Sega products.
If you win the main game, you get to play the Time Attack Quiz. Here, you answer questions very quickly to win cool prizes. There's also a free play mode where you can practice different quiz types without being in the main show.
