Pasir Ris East MRT station (CR4) is a brand new underground train station being built in Singapore. It will be part of the exciting new Cross Island MRT line. This station will make it easier for people living in Pasir Ris, Singapore to travel around the country using the MRT system.
History
The idea for this station first came up in 2013. It was mentioned as one of the areas the Cross Island Line would serve.
On January 25, 2019, the station was officially announced. It became a confirmed part of the Cross Island Line (CRL) project.
Construction work for Pasir Ris East MRT station began in 2020. The station is expected to be finished and ready for use by 2029.
