Patrice Martinez (born June 12, 1963 – died December 24, 2018) was an American actress. She studied acting in London. Patrice was famous for her roles in the movie Three Amigos and the TV show Zorro.

Early Life and Acting Career
Patrice Martinez was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. When she was a child, she loved performing in local theater plays. She began her acting career on screen as a teenager. Her first role was as an extra in the 1978 film Convoy. This movie was directed by Sam Peckinpah.
After finishing high school, when she was 18, Patrice moved to London. There, she studied acting at the famous Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
Moving to Hollywood
After her studies in London, Patrice returned to the United States. She soon moved to Los Angeles, California. This city is a big center for movies and TV shows. She got her first film experience in a movie called A Walk on the Moon.
In 1986, Patrice appeared in the popular film Three Amigos. She played the character of Carmen. Later, she joined the cast of Magnum, P.I.. This TV show starred Tom Selleck. Patrice played Linda Lee Ellison in two seasons of the show.
She then took on the role of Victoria Escalante in the TV series Zorro. She was also in other movies like Beetlejuice, The Effects of Magic, and Vital Signs.
Family Life
Patrice Martinez had a family involved in acting too. Her brother, Benito Martinez, is also an actor. Her mother was Margarita Martinez-Cannon. Patrice also had a younger sister named Benita. Benita looked a lot like Patrice. Interestingly, Benita also had a small role in Three Amigos.
From 1987 to 1992, Patrice was married to Daniel Camhi. He was a producer and director. During the first two seasons of Zorro, she was known as "Patrice Camhi." After they divorced, she went back to using her original name, Patrice Martinez, for Season Three and beyond.
Later Life and Passing
Patrice Martinez passed away on December 24, 2018. She was at her home in Burbank, Southern California. She had been ill for some time.
