Patrick Alexandre Ernst Loliger Salas (born June 20, 1985) is a famous Mexican rower. He is an Olympic athlete who competed for Mexico in the sport of rowing. He took part in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics and the 2012 London Summer Olympics.
Patrick was born in Mexico City. He is the second child of Rolf Loliger, who is Swiss, and Angelica Salas, who is Mexican. He grew up in a very supportive family. He started playing sports at a place called Real Club España. Patrick studied International Business at Tecnológico de Monterrey, which means he learned about how businesses work across different countries.
Patrick has won many medals in rowing competitions around the world. These include races in Germany, Belgium, and Italy. He also made history by becoming the first Mexican rower to win a medal at the World University Championship in Kazan, Russia.
He earned two medals at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico. A big moment for him happened later that year in Argentina. He won against Santiago Fernández, who was a big competitor and someone Patrick looked up to. Santiago had placed 4th in the 2005 Athens Summer Olympics.
Exatlón México: Patrick's TV Adventure
Patrick Loliger also took part in a TV reality show called Exatlón México. This show is about sports challenges and takes place in the Dominican Republic.
First Time on Exatlón
Patrick joined the show for its second season. He started on August 13, 2018. His journey on the show ended on January 14, 2019, after a special elimination challenge. Patrick finished in 10th place overall and 6th among the male contestants. He also won one special prize and performed well in over 45% of the challenges.
Return to Exatlón
Two years later, Patrick Loliger, also known as "Mexiperro," returned to Exatlón México. This time, it was for the fourth season, called "Titanes vs Héroes," which was the biggest season ever. He started this new adventure on September 1, 2020. His time on the show ended on October 4, 2020. In this season, he finished in 32nd place overall and 17th among the male contestants.
