Patty Sullivan facts for kids

Patricia Sullivan (born March 17, 1968) is a Canadian television presenter and actress. She is famous for hosting popular children's TV shows.

Patty Sullivan hosted the TVOKids block on TVOntario from 1994 to 2003. Later, she hosted the Kids' CBC block on CBC Television from 2003 to 2016.

Patty Sullivan studied radio and television arts. She graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University (which was called Ryerson Polytechnical Institute back then) in 1990.

She first worked in news radio. Then, she joined TVOntario (TVO), a public TV station.

Starting at TVOKids

In 1994, Patty became a host for the TVOKids programming block. This was a big step in her career.

She was part of the TVOKids team that won an International Emmy Award. This award was for their special programming on the International Children's Day of Broadcasting in 1995.

In 2003, Patty left TVO. Soon after, she joined the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).

Hosting Kids' CBC

Five months after leaving TVO, Patty Sullivan became a host for the new Kids' CBC block. This was on CBC Television.

She hosted Kids' CBC for many years, from 2003 until 2016. In June 2016, CBC announced that Patty would be leaving as host. This was part of a new plan for Kids' CBC.
