Peace Iced Tea is a popular brand of iced tea drinks. It is made by The Coca-Cola Company. Peace Tea first started on December 21, 2007.
These drinks come in 16-ounce cans in the United States. In Canada, they are sold in larger 695 mL cans. Peace Tea competes with other well-known iced tea brands like Arizona Iced Tea and Snapple.
In 2015, The Coca-Cola Company bought a part of the Monster Beverage Company. Because of this, all non-energy drinks, including Peace Tea, became part of Coca-Cola.
Peace Tea became available in Coca-Cola Freestyle machines in mid-2024. This meant it replaced another iced tea brand called Fuse. On May 19, 2025, Peace Tea also launched in Switzerland. This was the first country outside of North America to sell Peace Tea.
What Inspired Peace Tea?
The idea for Peace Tea came from the famous peace symbol. This symbol is known all over the world for representing peace. The brand's website says that Peace Tea "is whatever you want it to be." It also says the drink "stands for social awareness." The company wanted the drink to have a deeper meaning.
The Art on the Cans
The company wanted the cans to be like pieces of art. This helped them move away from just using the peace symbol for business. The first designs for Peace Tea cans were made by Steve Jugan and an artist named John Malloy. Malloy is also known as FLuX.
John Malloy is an artist who uses different materials. He started drawing when he was very young. His artwork has been shown in many books. His designs on each Peace Tea can told a story. These stories were about important peace movements from history.
After Coca-Cola took over Peace Tea in 2015, they started using simpler designs for the cans.
