Monster Beverage Corporation is an American company that makes popular energy drinks. You might know their main brand, Monster Energy. They also produce other drinks like Relentless and Burn.

The company started a long time ago, in 1935, in Southern California. Back then, it was called Hansen's and mostly sold juice products. In 2012, the company officially changed its name to Monster Beverage Corporation. By 2020, Monster was a huge player in the global energy drink market. They held about 39% of the market share, making them the second-largest energy drink company after Red Bull.

History of Monster Beverage

The story of Monster Beverage Corporation began in 1935. A man named Hubert Hansen and his three sons started selling juice to film studios and stores. They used the name Hansen's for their products.

Later, in the 1970s, Hubert's grandson, Tim Hansen, created new types of sodas and juices. These were also sold under the Hansen's brand. The company grew and was known as Hansen's Juices. It later became The Fresh Juice Company of California.

In 1988, the company went through some changes and was bought by another company. It was then renamed Hansen Natural Company. By 1990, Hansen's shares were available for people to buy on the stock market.

A big moment for the company happened in 1997. Hansen's launched its very first energy drink, called Hansen's Energy. This was a new direction for the company. In 1998, the company moved its main office to Corona, California.

Energy drinks became very popular and were the company's biggest source of money. So, on January 5, 2012, shareholders agreed to change the company's name. Hansen's Natural became Monster Beverage Corporation.

In 2015, a huge company, The Coca-Cola Company, bought a part of Monster Beverage Corp. They invested $2.15 billion, showing how important Monster had become. Monster Beverage has continued to grow by buying other companies. In 2022, they bought CANarchy Craft Brewery Collective. In 2023, they agreed to buy Vital Pharmaceuticals, which owns Bang Energy.

Monster Energy Sponsorships

Monster Energy is well-known for sponsoring many exciting sports events. They help support athletes and teams in different areas.

Monster Energy also sponsors the Professional Bull Riders Unleash the Beast Series. This is a popular rodeo event where riders try to stay on bucking bulls.

In motorsports, Monster Energy is the title sponsor for AMA Supercross. This is a thrilling motorcycle racing series held in stadiums. Another brand owned by Monster, NOS, sponsors the World of Outlaws racing series.
