Pedelo Creek is a stream in southern Missouri. It flows through Webster and Christian counties. This creek is part of the beautiful Ozarks region. It is a smaller waterway that eventually joins a larger one called Finley Creek.

Its Journey
The stream begins in the southwestern corner of Webster County. This area is located west of a small community called Zenar. From its starting point, Pedelo Creek flows west. It then turns southwest as it enters northern Christian County.
Along its path, the creek receives water from Olie Lasley Spring. This spring adds more water to the stream. Pedelo Creek then turns south. It flows under Missouri Route U, which is a local road. Finally, the creek meets Finley Creek. This meeting point is about three miles east of Linden.
What Does "Pedelo" Mean?
The name Pedelo Creek has an interesting history. The Delaware Indians were the first people to call the stream Pedlow Creek. In their language, Pedlow meant shot pouch. A shot pouch was a small bag used to carry lead shot for hunting.
