Pedro Bigas's Football Journey
Pedro Bigas started his football career in Palma de Mallorca, which is in the Balearic Islands of Spain.
Starting Out: Montuïri and Atlético Baleares
Pedro began playing as a senior player with CD Montuïri in 2009. At that time, the team was in the Tercera División, which is one of the lower football leagues in Spain.
On July 9, 2010, he moved to CD Atlético Baleares. This club played in the Segunda División B, which is a higher league than the Tercera División.
Playing for Mallorca
On June 20, 2011, Pedro Bigas joined RCD Mallorca. He first played for their reserve team, RCD Mallorca B, which was also in the third division.
He made his big debut for Mallorca's main team on October 1, 2011. This was also his first game in La Liga, Spain's top football league! He started as a left-back in a match against CA Osasuna, which ended in a 2–2 draw.
In August 2012, Pedro signed a new contract with Mallorca until 2015. He officially became a full-time player for the main squad. On October 22, he scored his first professional goal, but his team unfortunately lost 3–2 to Sevilla FC. During the 2012–13 season, he sometimes played as a defensive midfielder. Sadly, his team was relegated to a lower league that season.
Time with Las Palmas and Eibar
On July 13, 2015, Pedro Bigas joined UD Las Palmas. This team had just been promoted to La Liga, the top division.
During the 2016–17 season, he scored four goals, which was his best scoring record in a single season. His team finished in 14th place that year.
After his team was relegated in 2017–18, Pedro was loaned to SD Eibar on July 31, 2018. Eibar was also in La Liga. The loan deal included an option for Eibar to buy him permanently. The following May, he officially became a permanent player for Eibar.
Moving to Elche
On July 7, 2021, Elche CF and Eibar agreed on Pedro Bigas's transfer. He signed a two-year contract with Elche, where he continues to play as a key defender.
