Pedro Osores de Ulloa was an important leader in Chile a long time ago. He was born in 1554 in a place called Saa, near Vigo, which is in Spain. He later became the Royal Governor of Chile, serving from November 1621 until he passed away in September 1624.

As governor, he was in charge of the area for the King of Spain. He took over from another governor named Cristóbal de la Cerda y Sotomayor. When Pedro Osores de Ulloa was very ill, he chose his brother-in-law, Francisco de Álava y Nureña, to take his place as governor for a short time. Pedro Osores de Ulloa was also a special knight in a group called the Order of Alcántara. He died in Concepcion, Chile on September 18, 1624.
