Pedro Uralde Hernáez, born on March 2, 1958, is a former Spanish football player. He was a talented striker, which means he played at the front of the team, mainly focused on scoring goals.

Pedro Uralde's Club Journey

Pedro Uralde was born in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain. He began his football career with Real Sociedad, a big team from the Basque Country.

Early Success with Real Sociedad

Uralde quickly became a key player for Real Sociedad. He helped his team win two La Liga titles in a row. La Liga is the top football league in Spain. During these winning years (1980 to 1982), he played 57 matches and scored 21 goals.

He made his first appearance in La Liga on February 3, 1980. He came into the game as a substitute in a 4–0 win against Athletic Bilbao. Pedro Uralde played for Real Sociedad until the end of the 1985–86 season.

Moving to Other Teams

After leaving Real Sociedad, Uralde joined Atlético Madrid for one year (1986–87 season). There, he played alongside another Basque forward, Julio Salinas. Together, they scored 23 goals for the team.

Next, he moved to Athletic Bilbao, another team from the Basque Country. He played 110 games for them during his time there.

Finishing His Career

In his last two years as a professional player, Uralde played for Deportivo de La Coruña. This team later became known as Super Depor. He scored 23 goals in the league before the famous player Bebeto joined the team.

Pedro Uralde retired from football at the age of 34. He had scored 111 goals in 338 top-flight matches during his career.

Playing for Spain

Pedro Uralde also had the honor of playing for the Spanish national team. He played in three international matches, which are called "caps."

His first game for Spain was on April 28, 1982. It was a friendly match against Switzerland in Valencia. He played the entire 90 minutes of that game.

Later that year, he was chosen to play in the 1982 FIFA World Cup. This is a huge international football tournament. Uralde played for 23 minutes in a group stage match against England. The game ended in a 0–0 draw at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
