Pedro Uralde Hernáez (born on 2 March 1958) is a Spanish former footballer. He played as a striker, which means he was a player who mainly focused on scoring goals. Pedro Uralde had a long and successful career playing for several important clubs in Spain.

Pedro Uralde was born in Vitoria-Gasteiz, a city in Spain. He started his football journey in his home region. He became a well-known striker during his time.

Early Days and Club Success

Uralde began his professional career with Real Sociedad. This club is a very famous team from the Basque Country in Spain. He quickly became an important player for them.

Becoming a Champion with Real Sociedad

Pedro Uralde was a key part of the Real Sociedad team that won two La Liga titles in a row. La Liga is the top football league in Spain. This was a huge achievement for the club.

He played in 57 matches and scored 21 goals between 1980 and 1982. His first game in La Liga was on 3 February 1980. He came on as a substitute in a 4–0 win against Athletic Bilbao. He stayed with Real Sociedad until the end of the 1985–86 season.

Playing for Other Big Spanish Clubs

After leaving Real Sociedad, Uralde moved to Atlético Madrid. He played there for one season, the 1986–87 season. He teamed up with another Basque forward, Julio Salinas. Together, they scored 23 goals for the team.

Next, Pedro Uralde joined Athletic Bilbao, another big club from the Basque Country. He played in 110 games for them. He then spent his final two years playing for Deportivo de La Coruña. This team later became known as Super Depor.

He scored 23 goals for Deportivo La Coruña before the famous player Bebeto joined the team. Pedro Uralde retired from football at the age of 34. He had scored 111 goals in 338 top-flight matches during his career.

Representing His Country: Spain

Pedro Uralde also had the honor of playing for the Spanish national team. Playing for your country is a very special achievement for any footballer.

He played in three international matches for Spain. His first game was on 28 April 1982. It was a friendly match against Switzerland. He played the full 90 minutes in that game, which took place in Valencia.

Pedro Uralde at the World Cup

Later in 1982, Pedro Uralde was chosen to play in the 1982 FIFA World Cup. This is one of the biggest football tournaments in the world. He played for 23 minutes in a match against England. The game ended in a 0–0 draw at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
