One of their daughters later married Major William Price Drury. He was a Royal Marine who wrote sea-themed novels.
The Cudlips lived in Devon for most of their married lives. However, they spent 11 years (1873–1884) in Paddington, London. After that, Cudlip became the vicar of Sparkwell for 25 years. He also held the title of Rural Dean of Plympton.
