Pentoga's History

How Pentoga Got Its Name
The name 'Pentoga' has an interesting story. The people who owned the Montambo mill in the area chose the name for the community. 'Pentoga' was actually the nickname of a Chippewa chief's wife who lived nearby. The name means "bull head."
