Perkins' History
For many years, Perkins had its own post office. This was a place where people could send and receive mail. However, the post office in Perkins closed its doors on November 2, 2002.
How Perkins Got Its Name
The community of Perkins was named after a woman named Clen Boggs. Her maiden name (her family name before she was married) was Perkins. She was the wife of one of the very first settlers who came to live in this area.
