Perkins Lake is a beautiful alpine lake located in Blaine County, Idaho, United States. It sits within the amazing Sawtooth Valley and is part of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. This lake is a popular spot for outdoor fun and enjoying nature.

Discovering Perkins Lake

Perkins Lake is a type of lake known as a glacial lake. This means it was formed a very long time ago by giant moving glaciers. These glaciers carved out the land, leaving behind the basin that filled with water to create the lake we see today.

Where is Perkins Lake?

The lake is found in the central part of Idaho. It's about 21 miles (34 km) south of a town called Stanley. It is also about 30 miles (48 km) northwest of Ketchum. You can easily reach Perkins Lake from State Highway 75. Just look for Sawtooth National Forest road 205.
