Peter Mark Richman (born Marvin Jack Richman) was an American actor. He was born on April 16, 1927, and passed away on January 14, 2021. For many years, he was known as Mark Richman. He appeared in about 30 movies and 130 television shows. His acting career lasted from the 1950s until he retired in 2011.

Acting Career

Peter Mark Richman started his film career in 1956. His first movie was Friendly Persuasion. At that time, he was already a busy TV actor. He was also a member of the Actors Studio in New York City. He moved to Los Angeles in 1961.

He played Nicholas "Nick" Cain in the 1961 films The Murder Men and The Crimebusters. He also played this role in the TV series Cain's Hundred.

Richman had many roles on popular TV shows. He was Channing Creighton 'C.C.' Capwell in the soap opera Santa Barbara in 1984. He also played Andrew Laird on Dynasty from 1981 to 1984. Kids might remember him as Chrissy's father, Rev. Luther Snow, on Three's Company (1978–1979). He also made a guest appearance on Beverly Hills, 90210.

His other films include Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989) and Vic (2005). His last movies were Mysteria and After the Wizard, both released in 2011.

Richman appeared in many well-known television series. These include Hawaii Five-O, The Fugitive, The Outer Limits, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Bonanza, The Bionic Woman, Knight Rider, and The Incredible Hulk. He also had several guest roles on The F.B.I.. He played Ralph Offenhouse in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Neutral Zone". He was also the voice of The Phantom in the cartoon series Defenders of the Earth.

Personal Life

Peter Mark Richman was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His parents were Yetta Dora and Benjamin Richman. His father was a painting and paper-hanger contractor.

Before becoming an actor, Richman started his career as a pharmacist. He explained that his older brother, who was a pharmacist, encouraged him to get a good education. He went to pharmacy school and became a licensed pharmacist in two states.

He married actress Helen (Landess) Richman in 1953. They stayed married until his death. They had five children together. One of their children is Lucas Richman, who is a composer and a Grammy Award-winning conductor.

Peter Mark Richman passed away from natural causes on January 14, 2021. He was 93 years old. He died in Woodland Hills, California.
