Peter Sasdy was born on May 27, 1935, in Budapest, Hungary. He is a British director who has made many films and television shows.
He is well-known for directing several scary movies for a company called Hammer. Some of these include Taste the Blood of Dracula (1970), Countess Dracula (1971), and Hands of the Ripper (1971). He also directed a famous TV show called The Stone Tape (1972).
Directing TV Shows
Peter Sasdy directed many popular TV series for BBC TV. These include Wuthering Heights (1967), The Tenant of Wildfell Hall (1968), and The Spoils of Poynton (1970). He also directed some of the first episodes of the hit TV show Minder.
From 1985 to 1987, he directed The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 3⁄4 for Thames Television. This show was based on a popular book series about a teenage boy's diary. He also produced and directed a TV show called Ending Up.
Sherlock Holmes Stories
Peter Sasdy directed three different TV shows based on the famous detective Sherlock Holmes.
