Petersville is a small community in Alaska, United States. It's located in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. This area is part of the larger Anchorage Metropolitan Area. In 2020, only 27 people lived in Petersville. Where is Petersville Located?

Petersville is in the northwest part of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. You can find it at these coordinates: 62°22′37″N 150°44′49″W / 62.37694°N 150.74694°W / 62.37694; -150.74694. It's next to another community called Trapper Creek to the east.

The community sits along Petersville Road. It's about 29 miles (47 km) northwest of Alaska Route 3 (the Parks Highway) at Trapper Creek. It's also about 145 miles (233 km) north of Anchorage, which is a much larger city. To the north of Petersville, you'll find Denali National Park, a famous wilderness area.

The total area of Petersville is about 462.5 square miles (1,198 km²). Most of this is land, with only a small amount of water. The Kahiltna River borders Petersville to the west. This river gets its water from the Kahiltna Glacier, which is on the south side of Denali, North America's highest peak.
