Philip Solomon Goodman (born February 20, 1926 – died May 2, 2015) was an American screenwriter, producer, and director. A screenwriter writes stories for movies and TV. A producer helps make sure the movie or show gets made. A director guides the actors and crew.
Goodman was most famous for directing the drama movie We Shall Return in 1963. This film starred the actor Cesar Romero. He also wrote for many popular TV shows. These included Profiles in Courage, Danger, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. He also directed plays at the Actors Studio.

Philip Solomon Goodman was born in New York City on February 20, 1926. His parents were Flora and Solomon Goodman. He grew up in New York and later went to college.
He studied at two different universities. First, he graduated from Brooklyn College. After that, he went to the University of Southern California (USC).

Goodman served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a soldier during World War II. He served from 1944 to 1946.
Family Life
Philip Goodman was married to Evelyn Twersky. They had two children together. Their son, Nicholas, also became a producer. Their daughter, Jody, became a lawyer.
Later Years and Death
Philip Goodman passed away on May 2, 2015. He was 89 years old. He died in New York City, the same city where he was born.
