Early Life and Comedy
Pierre was born on May 7, 1967, in Killeen, Texas. His mother was German, and his father was an American soldier. When he was just three weeks old, his family moved to Germany.
At age eleven, Pierre moved back to the United States. He settled in Washington D.C. Comedy became his way to handle new cultural changes and any bullying. In the 6th grade, his humor even got him on the TV show Good Morning America.
In high school, Pierre started performing at comedy clubs in the D.C. area. He shared the stage with future stars like Martin Lawrence and Dave Chappelle. In 1987, after a difficult experience, Pierre decided to focus seriously on comedy. Seeing his friends succeed in Hollywood, he moved to the West Coast in 1991.
Pierre's Career
Pierre quickly became a familiar face in comedy. He appeared on the first season of HBO's Def Comedy Jam. He was also featured on BET Comicview. Other comedy shows he appeared on include Showtime at the Apollo and Martin Lawrence Presents First Amendment.
He worked with famous actors in his films. Pierre played Nisi's boyfriend in the 1997 movie B*A*P*S alongside Halle Berry. He starred with Bill Bellamy in Def Jam's How to Be a Player. Pierre also played a detective partner to Leslie Nielsen in 2001: A Space Travesty.
After some smaller roles, Pierre took on a big project. He wrote, produced, directed, and starred in the movie For Da Love of Money. This film became a classic in urban cinema.
Pierre has also toured with many popular R&B music artists. These include Mary J Blige, Dru Hill, New Edition, and Patti LaBelle.
He also spent time in the radio world. Pierre made many guest appearances on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. His favorite place to perform is still the comedy club stage. He has headlined at famous clubs like Carolines in New York City. He has also performed for troops both at home and overseas. Pierre has even performed at comedy festivals in Japan, South Africa, and Germany.
Currently, Pierre is working on new projects. These include a web series called Dating Pierre and a book titled "100 Homies and Phonies of Hollywood". In 2020, he became a lead analyst for ComedyHype News. He also hosts his own popular podcast called 'Pierre's Panic Room'.
