Pierre Png Tiang Huat (born on October 29, 1973) is a famous actor, comedian, and businessman from Singapore. He is well-known for his roles in many TV shows on Singapore's Channel 5 and Channel 8. Some of his popular shows include The Gentlemen and When Duty Calls.
Early in his career, Pierre Png was famous for playing the funny character Phua Chu Beng in the long-running TV show Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd. He also played a husband facing challenges in the 2008 drama The Little Nyonya. Later, he played a bad guy in the 2013 drama The Journey: A Voyage, which helped him win the Star Awards for Best Actor. In 2018, he even appeared in a big Hollywood movie called Crazy Rich Asians.

Pierre Png was born in Singapore on October 29, 1973. He went to St Gabriel's Primary School and then to Holy Innocents' High School.
Pierre Png's Acting Journey
Pierre Png first got interested in acting after finishing his National Service. This happened when he acted in the 1998 movie Forever Fever. He enjoyed it so much that he decided to take acting classes. In the same year, he won a talent show called The Fame Awards on Channel 5.
Pierre Png started his TV career on Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd. He then acted in several other shows on Channel 5. Later, he began acting in Chinese-language dramas on Channel 8. He was even nominated for the Most Popular Newcomer Award in 2001. In 2006, he got his first nomination for the Best Actor award for his role in The Shining Star.
He finally won the Best Actor award in 2014 for his role as a villain named Hei Long in The Journey: A Voyage. In the same year, he also won the "Best Actor" award at the 19th Asian Television Awards for his role in the Channel 5 drama Zero Calling. A big moment in his career was co-starring in the Warner Bros. film Crazy Rich Asians. This was his first time in a Hollywood movie.

In August 2021, Pierre Png opened a restaurant and bar called Tipsy Flamingo at Raffles City. Before that, he was a co-owner of another restaurant and bar called 3O1 Bar & Kitchen, which closed in 2020.
Pierre Png's Personal Life
Pierre Png has been married to former actress Andrea De Cruz since 2003. They met and started dating in 1999. Their relationship became widely known when Andrea suffered from liver failure. Pierre bravely donated half of his own liver to save her life. Because of the medical advice related to the liver transplant, the couple decided not to have children.
