Pine Mountain is a cool mountain found in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It's located in the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, which is part of the Jefferson National Forest in Grayson County, Virginia, USA.
This mountain is right next to Mount Rogers, which is the tallest mountain in Virginia. Pine Mountain's top doesn't have many trees, so you get amazing views of Mount Rogers and the whole area around it. The famous Appalachian Trail even passes very close to the top of Pine Mountain!
Pine Mountain is the second highest named peak in Virginia. However, because it doesn't rise very sharply from the land around it (its "prominence" is less than 300 feet), it's often seen as a smaller part of Mount Rogers.
Amazing Views from the Top
When you reach the summit of Pine Mountain, you can see all around you! It offers a full 360-degree view of the beautiful mountains and forests.
