Pishin (Urdu: پشین) is a town in the Pishin District of Balochistan province, Pakistan. It is the main town of the district. Pishin is known for its history and its people.
Pishin is located in the eastern part of Balochistan. It is close to the border with Afghanistan. The town sits high up, about 1,555 meters (5,104 feet) above sea level. In 2008, people in Pishin felt the ground shake from an earthquake in Pakistan. Nearby areas include Yaro, Saranan, Nowabad, and Milkyar.
During World War II, the British built two air bases in the Pishin district. One was near Pishin town, and the other was in Saranan. The runways of these old air bases are still in good condition today.
