Pittsburg is a city in Camp County, Texas, United States. It is also the main town, or county seat, of Camp County. Pittsburg is famous for a few things. In 1902, something amazing happened here. A company called Ezekiel Air Ship Mfg Co. tried to fly an early airship. The city's population was 4,335 people in 2020. This makes it the biggest city in Camp County.

What's in a Name?
The city of Pittsburg got its name from the family of William Harrison Pitts. In 1996, the town changed its name for a few weeks. They called themselves "Cowboys" to support the Dallas Cowboys football team. The Cowboys were playing against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl XXX that year.
