Pitu's Football Journey
Pitu was born in Salt, Girona, a town in Catalonia, Spain. He started his football journey very young.
Early Days at Barcelona
Pitu joined the famous FC Barcelona youth academy. This is where many great players learn to play. He spent many years there, growing his skills. By the 2005–06 season, he was playing for Barcelona's reserve team. They competed in the Segunda División B, which is a lower professional league.
Playing in La Liga
On May 20, 2006, Pitu got to play in his first and only La Liga match. La Liga is Spain's top football league. He came on as a substitute for another player, Ludovic Giuly. This happened during a game against Athletic Bilbao at the San Mamés Stadium. Even though Barcelona lost that game 3-1, it was a special moment. The team, led by coach Frank Rijkaard, had already won the league championship that season.
Moving to Other Clubs
After his time at Barcelona, Pitu played for several other teams. He spent a season with Girona FC, a team close to Barcelona, in the Tercera División. Then, he joined Segunda División club UD Las Palmas. This team is from the Canary Islands. He played for them for about a year and a half.
Later Career and Llagostera
Pitu then spent five years playing in the third tier of Spanish football. In 2014, he returned to the second tier with UE Llagostera. He had a great season with them, scoring eight goals in 40 games. He played for Llagostera for several years, from 2012 to 2016, and then again from 2017 to 2021. He was an important player for them, scoring many goals.
