Past and Present Alcaldes
José Joaquín Latorre Muñoz was the alcalde from 2012 to 2013. He had also been the alcalde before, from 1992 to 2008. After he passed away in 2013, Tulio Contreras Álvarez took over. Tulio Contreras Álvarez was reelected several times. He served until 2022, when he also passed away. The current alcalde is Marcelo González.
