Pleasant Hill is located about 9 miles (14 km) southwest of Hernando. It is also about 8 miles (13 km) southeast of Eudora. You can find it just east of Arkabutla Lake.
History of Pleasant Hill
Pleasant Hill used to be a small, officially recognized town. It had several stores where people could shop. There were also two churches for the community. A Masonic lodge was also present.
A post office served the area for many years. It operated under the name Pleasant Hill from 1848 to 1917.
In the 2020 Census, Pleasant Hill was first named as a census-designated place (CDP). The census counted 1,863 people living there at that time.
