Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire (ポケットモンスター オメガルビー&アルファサファイア, Poketto Monsutā Omega Rubī & Arufa Safaia) are two exciting role-playing video games for the Nintendo 3DS. They were made by Game Freak and released by The Pokémon Company.
These games came out on November 21, 2014, in Japan, North America, and Australia. Players in Europe got them a week later, on November 28, 2014. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are special because they are updated versions of the classic 2002 Game Boy Advance games, Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.

What's New in the Remake?
When these games were first announced, a cool trailer was shown at Nintendo's E3 2014 event. This video gave fans a sneak peek at what was coming.
The trailer showed off brand-new ways to play the game. It also revealed updated designs for the main characters you control. One of the most exciting parts was seeing new Mega Evolutions for Pokémon like Sceptile and Swampert. These special forms were not in the previous games, X and Y, which only featured Mega Blaziken.
