The Port Arthur Marrs was a junior ice hockey team that played in Port Arthur, Ontario. This city is now part of Thunder Bay. The team was named after its sponsor, W.H. Marr, Ltd., a trucking company. In 1967, they competed for the important Memorial Cup but lost to the Toronto Marlboros.

About the Port Arthur Marrs
The Port Arthur Marrs were a junior ice hockey team. Junior hockey is for players who are usually between 16 and 20 years old. It helps young players develop their skills. The team played in the Thunder Bay Junior Hockey League. This league was part of Hockey Northwestern Ontario.
Team History and Name Changes
The team went through several name changes over the years. They started as the Port Arthur Juniors around 1925. Later, they were known as the Port Arthur Flyers and the Port Arthur North Stars. In 1966, they became the Port Arthur Marrs.
In 1970, the team changed its name to the Thunder Bay Marrs. A year later, in 1971, they became the Thunder Bay Case Eagles. Their final name was the Thunder Bay North Stars, starting in 1978. The team stopped playing on July 6, 1980. This happened because their hockey association, the TBAHA, no longer had a league for them to play in.
Playoff Successes
The team had many successful playoff runs throughout its history. They often won their league championships. For example, in 1971, the Thunder Bay Marrs won their league title. They also won the TBAHA Jack Adams Trophy that year.
The team continued to perform well in the playoffs. In 1975, as the Thunder Bay Eagles, they won their league again. They repeated this success in 1976 and 1977. In 1977, they also won the Jack Adams Trophy once more. As the Thunder Bay North Stars, they won their league championships in both 1979 and 1980.

- TBJHL Champions: They won the Thunder Bay Junior Hockey League championship many times. These wins happened in 1932, 1933, 1935, 1937, 1940, 1941, 1944, 1946, 1956, 1962, 1965, 1967, 1971, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1979, and 1980.
- Abbott Cup Champions: They won the Abbott Cup in 1967. This was a major championship for Western Canadian junior hockey teams.
- Abbott Cup Finalists: They were also finalists for the Abbott Cup in 1944 and 1956.
