Ramo Peter (Ray) Ceresino (born April 24, 1929 – died May 1, 2015) was a Canadian ice hockey player. He played as a left winger. Ray Ceresino was part of the Toronto Maple Leafs team in the National Hockey League (NHL) for a short time. He played 12 games during the 1948–49 season. Most of his hockey career, from 1946 to 1957, was spent playing in smaller leagues.
Ray Ceresino's Life Story
Ray Ceresino was born in Port Arthur, Ontario, Canada. He grew up loving ice hockey and became a professional player. After his hockey career, he started a family.
On June 2, 1953, Ray married Lorraine Giardetti. They were married for 62 years. In 1962, Ray and his family moved to California in the United States. They settled in Los Angeles. There, Ray worked helping people get loans for homes, which is called a mortgage broker. Later, he retired and moved to San Diego. Ray and Lorraine had three children, including a son named Gordon Ceresino.
Ray Ceresino's Hockey Journey
Ray Ceresino played ice hockey for many years. He started his career in 1946. While he only played a few games in the NHL, he was a strong player in other leagues. He played for teams like the Pittsburgh Hornets and the Cleveland Barons in the American Hockey League (AHL). He also played for the Seattle Ironmen and the Victoria Cougars. Ray Ceresino retired from hockey in 1957.
