The Port de la Bonaigua is a famous mountain pass in the Pyrenees mountains. It is located in Catalonia, Spain. A mountain pass is like a low point between mountains. It makes it easier to travel from one side to the other.
This pass is about 2,072 meters (6,798 feet) high. It connects two areas in Catalonia. These areas are Esterri d'Àneu in Pallars Sobirà and Vielha e Mijaran in Aran. A popular ski resort called Baqueira-Beret is right at the top of the pass.

The average temperature for the whole year is around 3 degrees Celsius (37 degrees Fahrenheit). In winter, from December to February, it is usually below freezing. The coldest month is February, with an average of -4.8 degrees Celsius (23.4 degrees Fahrenheit). Summers are cool, with average temperatures around 11 to 12 degrees Celsius (52 to 54 degrees Fahrenheit) in July and August. The highest temperature ever recorded was 25.2 degrees Celsius (77.4 degrees Fahrenheit). The lowest was -26.0 degrees Celsius (-14.8 degrees Fahrenheit).
Snow and Rain
Port de la Bonaigua gets a lot of snow. It snows for many months of the year. The most snow falls from January to May. Even in June, there can be some snow. August is usually the only month with no snow. The area also gets a lot of rain. The wettest months are usually April, May, and November.
Sunshine and Humidity
The pass gets a good amount of sunshine throughout the year. March to September are the sunniest months. The air is often quite humid. This means there is a lot of moisture in the air.
