How Did Possum Walk Get Its Name?
The name "Possum Walk" is quite interesting because it was simply made up! It's not based on an old family name or a geographical feature. However, there was a different name used for a while: "LaMar Station." This name came from the LaMar family. They used to run a place called the Possum Walk Hotel. This old hotel is now considered a special national landmark, meaning it's an important historical site.
