Pragathi Guruprasad is a talented singer from Singapore and America. She sings for Indian movies, especially those in the Tamil language. Pragathi grew up in Fremont, California. She became well-known after being a runner-up on the TV show Airtel Super Singer Junior 3. This show was on TV from October 2011 to October 2012.

About Pragathi's Early Life
Pragathi Guruprasad was born on September 14, 1997. Her parents are Guruprasad and Kanaka. She has an older sister named Saiprithvi. Pragathi's family is from Singapore, with Indian roots.
When she was young, her father taught Carnatic music lessons. Carnatic music is a type of classical music from Southern India. Pragathi started learning Carnatic music at age five. Later, her family moved to Fremont, California. She kept learning Carnatic and Hindustani music there. Hindustani music is another type of Indian classical music. She first learned from her father. Then, she learned from a teacher named Sangeetha Swaminathan.
Pragathi's Journey in Entertainment
In July 2014, Pragathi was going to try acting. She planned to be in a movie called Tharai Thappattai. But she decided not to, because of her college studies.
In September 2016, there was news that she would play the main role in another movie. However, that movie was never made.
In 2020, Pragathi had a small part in an American TV show. It was a comedy-drama called Never Have I Ever.
Pragathi also sang a famous Tamil poem called 'Yayum Ngayum'. This song was part of an album named Sandham: Symphony Meets Classical Tamil. The album was created by composer Rajan Somasundaram. In July 2020, this album was one of the top 10 international music albums on Amazon.
