About the Pratt River
Where the River Starts
The Pratt River begins its journey in a tiny place called Upper Melakwa Lake. When it leaves this lake, it is just a small stream.
Soon after, the stream flows into a much bigger and more famous lake, Melakwa Lake. After exiting Melakwa Lake, the river drops down a steep area below the lake. Here, it starts to turn and flow towards the north.
The River's Journey
The river continues to flow generally north. It keeps going until it meets up with the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River. This is where the Pratt River's journey ends.
Other Streams Joining In
Several other smaller streams, called tributaries, flow into the Pratt River along its path. These streams add more water to the river as it flows.
- Tushohatchie Creek
- Kulla Kulla Creek
- Kaleetan Creek
- Thompson Creek
