This article lists the main leaders of the government in Libya since the country became independent in 1951. These leaders are often called the Prime Minister or Head of Government.

Libya has been going through a difficult time since 2011. This period is known as the Libyan crisis. It started with big changes in Libya, part of the Arab Spring movement. This led to the fall of the government and the death of Muammar Gaddafi. It also started the First Civil War and involved other countries helping out.

After the first civil war, there was more fighting between different groups. This led to the Second Civil War in 2014. Today, Libya is divided. Two main groups, the Government of National Stability (GNS) and the Government of National Unity (GNU), control different parts. The GNS is supported by the House of Representatives (HoR) in Tobruk. The GNU is based in Tripoli. There are also some other armed groups and local tribes controlling parts of the country.
