This article is about the leaders of the government of Libya since it became an independent country in 1951. The head of government is like the chief manager of a country, leading the cabinet and making sure the government runs smoothly.
Libya has faced many challenges since 2011. This period is known as the Libyan crisis. It led to the end of Muammar Gaddafi's rule and a civil war. After that, there was more fighting, which led to a second civil war in 2014.
Today, control over Libya is split. The Government of National Unity (GNU) is based in Tripoli and is recognized by many countries. There is also a rival group called the Government of National Stability (GNS) in Tobruk. Different groups and tribes also control parts of the country.

During this time, Libya was a kingdom. The leaders were called Prime Ministers.
