Recent Leaders and Their Roles

The role of Prime Minister in Yemen has seen several changes over the years. For example, on February 5, 2024, Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak was chosen to be the Prime Minister by Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council. He had previously served as the country's foreign minister.

However, Mr. Bin Mubarak later stepped down from his position on May 3, 2025. He explained that he faced difficulties in making important changes to how the government worked. After his resignation, Salem Saleh bin Braik served as Prime Minister until January 15, 2026.

Currently, Shaea al-Zindani has been serving as the Prime Minister of Yemen since January 15, 2026.
