Proberta is a small community located in Tehama County, California, in the United States. It's about 7.5 miles (12 km) south-southeast of a larger town called Red Bluff. Proberta has its own post office and a ZIP code of 96078. In 2010, about 267 people lived there.

History of Proberta
Proberta was first planned out in 1886. It was named after Edward Proberta, who helped create the community. A post office has been open in Proberta since 1888, helping people send and receive mail.
