Pruden is a small place that doesn't have its own official local government. It's unique because it's located in two different states at the same time! Part of Pruden is in Bell County, Kentucky, and the other part is in Claiborne County, Tennessee. This community is found in the southeastern part of the United States. You can find Pruden where two roads meet: Tennessee State Route 90 and Kentucky Route 74. These roads cross right at the state border. It's nestled in the upper part of the Clearfork Valley.
Pruden's Past
Pruden once had its own post office. This post office was on the Tennessee side of the state line. It opened on September 20, 1906. The post office served the community for many years. However, it closed down on May 21, 2011. Even though the post office is gone, Pruden still has its very own ZIP code, which is 37851.
