Puimayen is a fun resort town located on the Atlantic Coast. You can find it in the Rocha Department of southeastern Uruguay. It's also quite close to the border with Brazil. It's a great spot for a vacation!

Exploring Puimayen's Location
Puimayen is easy to reach from Route 9. You'll find it about 7 kilometers (around 4 miles) southeast of the main road. This road splits off about 6 kilometers (nearly 4 miles) before you reach the town of Chuy. Puimayen shares a border with another resort called Barra del Chuy to its northeast.
How Many People Live in Puimayen?
In 2011, about 505 people lived in Puimayen all year round. However, the number of homes, or dwellings, was much higher, at 1,374. This shows that many people own vacation homes here.
