Queen + Paul Rodgers was a rock band that brought together two members of the famous band Queen, Brian May and Roger Taylor, with singer Paul Rodgers. Paul Rodgers was known for being in other bands like Bad Company and Free.
Many people loved Freddie Mercury, Queen's original lead singer. Because of this, it was made clear that Paul Rodgers was not replacing Freddie, who had passed away in 1991. Instead, Paul Rodgers was described as being "featured with" the Queen members. When they played live concerts, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and Paul Rodgers were joined by other talented musicians: Spike Edney on keyboards, Jamie Moses on rhythm guitar, and Danny Miranda on bass.
Music and Albums
The band recorded one album together. It was called The Cosmos Rocks and came out in 2008. This album showed their unique rock sound.
The End of the Band
In May 2009, Paul Rodgers announced that the band Queen + Paul Rodgers had finished. He said it was a lot of fun but was never meant to be a long-term plan. He also mentioned that it was always possible for the band to get together and play again in the future.
