Quellón is a commune, city and port of Chile. According to the Chilean census on 2002, Quellón has an area of 3,244 square kilometres (1,253 sq mi) and 21,823 inhabitants.

Etimology
The name of this city comes from the mapudungun term külon, it means Maqui in Spanish.
History
It was founded on 1905 by the distilling company Quellón who extracted Alcohol from the forest trees.
Actually, this city is the most important port in Chiloé Island because there are industries dedicated to the salmon industry and the extraction of marine products from the sea.
