Quillan Eon Myles Roberts (born September 13, 1994) is a professional football player. He plays as a goalkeeper for Western Suburbs in New Zealand. Quillan was born in Canada. He now plays for the Guyana national team. He also played for Canada's youth and senior teams before.
Quillan started his career in youth teams like Toronto FC and Portugal FC. He then signed his first professional contract with Toronto FC in 2012. He also played on loan for the Wilmington Hammerheads and Toronto FC II. After the 2016 season, he left Toronto FC.
Later, Quillan joined Woodbridge Strikers. There, he helped his team win both the league and a cup. He was also named the First Team All Star and Goalkeeper of the Year. In the same year, he played for York University Lions and won another championship.
Quillan has played one game for the Canadian national team. He also scored a goal from his own half in a youth tournament. This happened during the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in 2011.

Starting His Football Journey
Quillan Roberts began playing soccer when he was six years old. He started with a team called Brampton Youth SC.
Time with Toronto FC
Quillan came from the Toronto FC Academy, which trains young players. He also spent a short time with Portugal FC's youth teams. On April 10, 2012, he became a professional player. He signed his first team contract with Toronto FC.
On July 21, 2012, Quillan played his first game for Toronto FC. He came in as a substitute in the second half. The game was a 1–1 draw against Liverpool. Famous players like Joe Cole and Raheem Sterling were on the Liverpool team.
Quillan was part of the Toronto FC first team for five years. However, he did not play in any official senior games. He left the club in December 2016.
Playing for Wilmington Hammerheads
Quillan had not played in any official games for Toronto FC. So, he was loaned to the Wilmington Hammerheads in 2014. This team played in the United Soccer League. On April 6, 2014, he played his first game for them. He kept a "clean sheet," meaning he didn't let the other team score. The game ended in a 0–0 draw.
Quillan played 17 games for the Hammerheads. He was then called back to Toronto FC on August 6.
Loan to Toronto FC II
On March 20, 2015, Quillan was one of seven players loaned to Toronto FC II. He played his first game for them on April 19. It was a 1–1 draw against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2. He played 15 games in the 2015 season.
His loan was then extended. He played nine more games for Toronto FC II.
Success with Woodbridge Strikers
After leaving Toronto FC, Quillan tried out for another club. He then signed with Woodbridge Strikers for the 2017 season. This team plays in League1 Ontario. He had nine clean sheets in 19 games.
On November 10, he was named the League1 Ontario Goalkeeper of the Year. He was also chosen as a League1 Ontario First Team All Star. His team also won the league championship that year.
Quillan played in every match as Woodbridge Strikers won the League1 Ontario Cup. They beat several teams to reach the final. They won the final game 3–1 against Vaughan.
Playing for York University
In 2017, Quillan also joined the York University Lions. He was studying Liberal Arts & Professional Studies at the time. He started six games in the regular season. He also played in all three playoff games.
He only lost one game while playing for the university team. He kept clean sheets in many games, including the final. His team won the championship in the Ontario University Athletics.
Time with Los Angeles FC
Quillan started 2018 by trying out for Ottawa Fury. He then played for Major League Soccer team Los Angeles FC. This was in their first ever pre-season match. He officially signed with Los Angeles FC on May 30, 2018. However, his contract was not renewed in November 2018.
Joining Forge FC
Quillan joined Canadian Premier League club Forge FC on March 2, 2019. He played his first game for them on May 8, 2019. He kept a clean sheet in a 3–0 win. He played eight league games and one cup game that season.
Forge FC went on to win the CPL Championship. On January 8, 2020, the club announced Quillan would not return for the 2020 season.
Back in League1 Ontario
In 2021, Quillan joined League1 Ontario team 1812 FC Barrie. He played as a player-coach. He was named the East Division Top Goalkeeper. He was also an East Division All-Star.
In early 2022, he tried out for Valour FC. In March 2022, he joined Electric City FC in League1 Ontario. He was named a league Third Team All-Star in 2022.
Playing in New Zealand
In March 2023, Quillan moved to New Zealand. He joined Western Suburbs FC. This club is part of a partnership with Olé Football Academy.
International Football Career
Representing Canada
In 2011, Quillan was chosen to play for the Canada Under-17 team. This was for the 2011 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Mexico. He was the backup goalkeeper. But, injuries meant he had to play in a game against England.
In that game, Canada was losing 2–1. In the 87th minute, Quillan kicked the ball from his own half. It bounced over the English goalkeeper and went into the net! This goal was the first ever scored by a goalkeeper in a FIFA World Cup tournament. It helped Canada get a 2–2 draw. Quillan played two more games in the tournament. Canada did not move past the group stage.
On March 30, 2015, Quillan played his first senior international game. It was a friendly match against Puerto Rico. Canada won 3–0. He came into the game in the 86th minute. He later joined the team for the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Canada was eliminated after the group stage.
Playing for Guyana
Since Quillan's only game for Canada was a friendly, he could still play for another country. His father was from Guyana, and his mother was from Jamaica. So, he could choose to play for either the Guyana or Jamaica national teams.
On May 20, 2019, he was named to Guyana's team for the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup. He played his first game for Guyana on June 26. It was a Gold Cup match against Trinidad and Tobago. The game ended in a 1–1 draw.

Quillan Roberts was born in Toronto, Ontario. His father is Guyanese, and his mother is Jamaican. He has a brother named Jamal. When he was six, his family moved to Brampton, Ontario.
He went to Heart Lake Secondary School from 2009 to 2012. Five years later, he joined York University. In his free time, Quillan has volunteered for different groups. These include the Toronto Humane Society and Youth Without Shelter.
