Quincy Lavell Lewis (born June 26, 1977) is a former professional basketball player from the United States. He last played for the team Iurbentia Bilbao Basket in Spain. Today, he works as a sports analyst for Fox Sports North. He talks about the Minnesota Timberwolves, which was one of his old NBA teams. Quincy Lewis also coaches a 16-year-old basketball team called "Minnesota Heat."
Quincy Lewis's College Basketball Career
Quincy Lewis played college basketball for the University of Minnesota. In 1997, he was an important player for the team, often coming off the bench. He helped the Golden Gophers reach the NCAA Final Four. This is a very big tournament in college basketball.
During his last year in college, he was the top scorer in the Big Ten Conference. When he finished his college career, he was ranked sixth in Minnesota's history for total points. He scored 1,614 points. He also made 127 three-point shots and grabbed 502 rebounds.
Quincy Lewis's Professional Basketball Journey
Quincy Lewis was chosen by the Utah Jazz in the first round of the 1999 NBA draft. He was the 19th player picked overall. He played for the Jazz from the 1999 to the 2002 season.
Later, the Minnesota Timberwolves signed him on September 26, 2003. He played for them during the 2003–04 season. Before that, he played for Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel during the 2002–03 season.
