Quindon Dan Tarver (born August 4, 1982 – died April 1, 2021) was an American singer. He became well-known for his amazing cover songs. These included "When Doves Cry" by Prince and "Everybody's Free" by Rozalla. He sang these songs for the 1996 movie William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet.

Quindon Tarver's Early Life and Music Career
Quindon Tarver was born in Plano, Texas, on August 4, 1982. He started singing when he was young, performing in a church choir.
Becoming a Movie Star
In 1996, Quindon appeared in the movie Romeo + Juliet. This film was directed by Baz Luhrmann and starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. Quindon played a choir boy in the movie.
His versions of "Everybody's Free (To Feel Good)" and Prince's "When Doves Cry" were on the movie's soundtrack. This soundtrack was very popular, selling two million copies. This earned it a "double-platinum" award, which means it sold a lot!
Releasing His Own Album
In 1996, Quindon released his own album called Quindon. It was put out by Virgin Records. The album had a song called "It's You That's on My Mind," which became popular in Australia and New Zealand.
Quindon toured around the world with other famous artists. These included Brandy and Monica. He also toured with teen groups like Immature (later known as IMx).
More Music and TV Appearances
Quindon also sang songs for other movies. He contributed to the soundtracks of Kazaam and Down in the Delta.
He appeared on several TV shows, such as Good Morning America and Soul Train. He even tried out for American Idol twice, making it into the top fifty singers both times. Quindon worked with many other musicians and producers during his career.
A Turning Point in His Life
In 2016, Quindon was asked to sing "When Doves Cry" at a special event in Los Angeles. This event was a tribute to the late musician Prince. Quindon later said that this performance was a big moment for him. The audience's reaction made him want to focus on his singing career again.
In 2017, Quindon released a new version of "Everybody's Free." He wanted this new song to show that everyone has a natural sense of freedom. He also tried to raise money for a new music project, but it didn't get enough support.
He released another song called "Stand Our Ground" in October 2020.
Quindon Tarver's Personal Life
Quindon Tarver passed away in a car accident in Dallas, Texas, on April 1, 2021. He was 38 years old. The accident happened on the President George Bush Turnpike. He was taken to a hospital but sadly died there.
